This is a simple but exciting blanket! It is made from Home Spun Yarn. Since this yarn size is a bulky 5 yarn, the blanket doesn’t take as long to complete.

 

Materials: Home Spun Yarn; 5 Skeins Waterfall and 1 skein on Wildfire, and hook Size K.

 

CH=Chain

SL=Slip Stitch

SC= Single Crochet

DC=Double Crochet

FP= Front post

BP=Back post

V-ST= (DC, CH 1, DC)

 

Base; Waterfall:  CH 85

Row 1: DC in 5th CH from hook, * SK next 3 CH, 5 DC in next CH, SK next 3 CH, in next CH (DC, CH1, DC), rep from * across. CH 3, turn.

Row 2: 2 DC in 1st CH 1 sp, SK 3 DC, Work in V-ST in next DC, * 5 DC in next CH 1 sp, SK 3 DC, work V-st in next DC, Rep from * across, 3 DC in last sp, CH 4, turn.

Row 3: DC in same ST as CH 3, *5 DC in CH 1 sp, SK 3 DC, work V-st in next DC, Rep from * across, CH 3, turn.

Rep rows 2 and 3 until blanket measures 42” long.

Rnd 1: 84 SC, 3 SC in corner, 100 SC down side, 3 SC in corner, 82 SC  along bottom, 3 SC in corner, 100 SC, 2 SC in next corner, SL to 1st SC made,

Rnd 2 (Wildfire):   DC in each ST around Blanket, in corners (2DC, CH 1, 2 DC), SL to 1st DC made, CH 2, turn.

Rnd 3:* DC 1, CH 1, Sk 1 sp, Rep from * around, in corners 2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC), SL to 1st DC made, CH 2, turn.

Rnd 4: * 1 DC, 1 DC in Ch 1 sp, Rep from * around, in corners (2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC), SL to 1st DC made, turn.

Rnd 5 (Waterfall): * 2 DC in FP, 2 DC in back post, Rep around from * for ribbed stitch, in corners (2 DC, CH 1, 2 DC), SL to 1st DC made, CH 2, turn.

Rnd 6-7: Rep Rnd 5, (note: FP in FP, BP in BP).

Optional: Wild Fire Flower appliqué. (found in applique section)
