Slouchy Beanies are in but are so hot to wear in the summer. This Summer Slouch is cool, fun, and easy. Quick to make and fun to wear. It fits kids as well as adults.
Materials: 1 Micro Spun Yarn- Lilly White. Hook Size H
CH = Chain
SL = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
DCFP = Double Crochet in Front Post
DCBP = Double Crochet In back Post
Tri-fold = this refers to the Three – CH 7 sps Sep by Sc in a row.
Base: CH 10, SL to 1st CH made.
Rnd 1: In CH 10 SP = *CH 13, In 8th CH from hook SC, (CH 7, SC in same st as last SC) Twice, SC, CH 4, SC in Base, Rep from * 14 times, Last rep SL to 1st SC made instead of SC in base, Tie off.
Rnd 2: Attach in SC between 2nd and 3rd CH 7 sps in tri-fold, *CH 13, in 8th CH from hook SC, (CH 7, SC in same st as last SC) Twice, SC, CH 4, SC in SC between 1st and 2nd CH 7 sp in next tri-fold, Ch 1 SC in SC between 2nd and 3rd CH 7 sp in tri-fold, Rep 14 times from * in last rep SL to 1st sc made instead of SC, Tie off.
Rnd 3 – 4: Rep Rnd 2.
Rnd 5: attach yarn in SC between 2nd and 3rd SC in tri-fold, * CH 3, SC in SC between 1st and 2nd CH 7 sp in next tri-fold, SC in SC between 2nd and 3rd Ch 7 sp in tri-fold, Rep from * around, End with SC in SC between 1st and 2nd CH 7 sp in next tri-fold, SL to 1st SC made, Ch 1 turn.
Rnd 6: *SC in SC, 3 SC in Ch 3 sp, SC in SC, Rep from * around, CH 3, turn.
Rnd 7: * DCFP, DCBP, Rep from * around, SL to 1st DC made, CH 3, turn.
Rnd 8: *DCBP, DCFP, Rep from * around, SL to 1st DC made, CH 3, turn.
Rnd 9-12: Rep Rnd 7 and Rnd 8. Then tie off hid all strings.
Optional: Add an appliqué of your choosing to the front of your slouchy. I used two Strawberry appliqués.
