This is a fun holiday project. Apply it about anywhere, to a hat, pillow, blanket, or even a headband. This four leaf clover is made with size 10 thread. It is 3 inches wide and made from 4 separate motifs that are then Sewed together.
Materials: Size 10 thread, colors: Light Green and Dark Green, Crochet Hook Size: 1.5 mm.
CH = Chain
SL = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
Motif: Light Green
Base: CH 7, Sl to 1st CH made, Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 1: 12 SC in CH 7 sp, SL to 1st Sc made, CH 6, turn.
Rnd 2: SK 3 sps, 3 SC, CH 4, Sk 1 sp, 3 SC, CH 6, SK 2 sps, SL, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 3: 8 SC in CH 6 sp, 3 SC, in CH 4 sp (2 SC, CH 2, 2 SC), 3 SC, 8 SC in CH 6, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 4: 1 HDC, 2 DC, 2 DC in next 2 sps, 2 HDC in next sp, 7 SC, 3 SC in CH 2 sp, 7 SC, 2 HDC in next sp, 2 DC in next 2 sps, 2 DC, 1 HDC, Sl to 1st HDC made, tie off and hide string.
Repeat Motif 3 more times.
Counting from the bottom, Leave the bottom three sts (corner) of heart alone while sewing each side of heart together upward 4-5 sts.
After all sides are sewn together SC around the Clover in dark Green. Make sure to (2 SC in one sp) around the humps of the hearts so the Clover will lay flat.
