Great Idea! Produce Bags! This is a great useful project. Use this bag at the store and use it instead of grocery bags! Great Green project and will last for years to come. Plus no one else will have one like yours! You will love it.

Materials: Bernat handicrafter cotton yarn: color of your choice, size H crochet hook, and darning needle.

SL = Slip Stitch

SK = Skip

SP(S)= Space(s)

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

TR = Treble Crochet

Bag

Base: Ch 3 turn.

Rnd 1: 10 SC in 1^st CH sp made, SL to 1^st SC made, turn.

Rnd 2: CH 1, * SC, 2 SC in next sp, Rep from * around, SL to 1 SC made.

Rnd 3-4: Rep Rnd 2

Rnd 5: Ch 1, *3 SC, 2 SC in next sp, Rep from * around, end with 1 SC, Sl to 1^st SC made.

Rnd 6: CH 1, * 6 SC, 2 SC in next sp, Rep from * around end with 3 SC, SL to 1^st SC made.

Rnd 7: CH 1, *2 SC in 1^st sp, 10 SC, Rep from * around end with SC, SL to 1^st SC made.

Rnd 8: CH 2, * 3 DC, CH 2, rep from * around, SL to 1^st DC made.

Rnd 9: CH 3, * In Ch 2 sp ( DC, CH 2, DC), CH 1, SK 1 sp, DC, Sk 1 sp, Rep from * around, end with (DC, CH2, DC), Ch 1 Sk 1 sp, then SL to 1^st DC made.

Rnd 10: CH 3, SK to CH 2 sp, *in CH 2 sp (DC, CH 4, DC), SK (DC, CH 1) SPS, Dc in DC sp, SK(CH 1, DC) SPS, Rep from * around, end with (DC, CH 4, DC) SL to 1^st Dc made.

Rnd 11: CH 4 (counts as first TR), * In Ch 4 sp (TR, CH 4, TR) Sl to next CH 4 sp, Rep from * around, end with (TR, CH 4) then SL to 1^st TR made (Which would me the 4^rd CH sp).

Rnd 12: Ch 7 (counts as a DC and CH 4),  DC In 1^st Ch 4 sp, * in next CH 4 sp ( TR, CH 4, TR), Rep from * around. SL to 4^th CH made.

Rnds 13-22: Rep Rnds 11 and 12.

Rnd 23: CH 2, *4 DC in Ch 4 sp, 2 DC, Rep from * around, SL to 1^st DC made.

Rnd 24: Dc around, SL to 1^st DC made.

Strap:

Rnd 25-65: CH 2 (acts as 1^st DC made), Sk 1 sp, 9 DC, Turn.

Rnd 66: Rep 25 but tie off and leave a long tail.

Sew the strap down to opposite side of bag.

All that is left is take it to the store and try it out!!!
