This is a Miniature Monster that fits into the palm of your hand. So fun for the kids and make a great party favors. The yarn is a size 3 light yarn.
Materials: Cuddle Yarn: Lilac and Pistachio, Size G hook, Small Googly Eyes, poly-fill, Glue gun, and darning needle.
Head: Pistachio
Base: Ch 5
Rnd 1: 3 SC, 3 SC in next sp (to turn corner), working on back side of base sts – 2 SC, 3 SC in next sp, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 2: SC, 3 SC in next sp, 5 SC, 3 SC in next sp, 3 SC, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 3: 4 SC, (3 SC in next sp) 3 times, 5 SC, (3 SC in next sp) 3 times, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 4-10: SC around, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 11: 11 SC, 5 DC in next sp, 15 SC, SL to 1st SC made, Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 12: 16 SC, DC2tog, DC, DC2tog, 10 SC, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 13: 11 SC, DC3tog, 15 SC, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 14-15: SC around, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 16 -17: * SC, SC2tog, Rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1 turn.
Rnd 18: *SC, SC2tog, rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, tie off and leave long tail.
Stuff head with poly-fill,
Take Tail and put a needle on the end and weave the tail in and out of Rnd 18, Pull tight to
Close, tie off and hide string.
Use the head upside down to get a better shape for the nose.
Legs: Lilac
Base: Ch 8. SL to 1st ch made to form a ring, CH 1 turn.
Rnd 1: 9 SC in Ch 8 ring, SL to 1st SC made, Ch 1 turn.
Rnd 2: 9 SC, Sl to 1st Sc made, CC to pistachio, CH 1 turn.
Rnd 3: 9 SC, Sl to 1st SC made, Ch 1 turn.
Rnd 4: 9 SC, SL to 1st SC made, CC to Lilac, CH 1 turn.
Rnd 5: 9 SC, Sl to 1st SC made, Ch 1 turn.
Rnd 6: 9 SC, SL to 1st SC made, CC to Pistachio, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 7: 4 SC, 3 SC in next sp, 4 SC, SL to 1st SC made, Ch 1 turn.
Rnd 8: 5 SC, 3 SC in next, 5 SC, SL to 1st Sc made, Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 9-10: SC around, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1 turn.
Rnd 11:* SC, SC2tog, rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, tie off and leave a long tail.
Take the tail and put a needle on the end and weave in and out of Rnd 11, Pull to close hole, Tie off and hide string.
Make two legs and stuff both with Poly-fill.
Take the two legs and sew them underneath the head of the monster.
Hair: Lilac
Take 5 – 4” strands of yarn and fold in half and place all 5 strands on head in same spot . Repeat this 5 times in a Mohawk fashion.
Eyes: Googly Eyes
Grab your hot glue gun and glue eyes on the face above the nose in any fashion you desire.
