Easy! Fun! Cute crochet pillow. This is made with Bernat Pipsqueak yarn. It is so soft and cuddly. This is a great way to spice up you girls bed. Love it. Have fun!

Materials: Bernat Pipsqueak yarn: Candygirl, Size I crochet Hook, and optionally some pink ribbon.

 

CH = Chain

SL = Slip Stitch

SC = Single Crochet

SC2tog = Single Crochet 2 sts together

 

Base: Ch 4

Row 1: 3 SC, CH 1, turn.

Row 2: 2 SC in 1st Sp, SC, 2 SC in last sp, CH 1, turn.

Row 3: SC across

Row 4: 2 SC in 1st sp, SC across to last sp, 2 SC in last sp, CH 1 turn.

Row 5 – 20: Rep Rows 3 and 4.

Note: a good way to keep track of how many rows you have done is when your row has reach 21 sts wide that is row 20.

Row 21-24: Rep row 4.

Note: Row 24 should be 29 sts wide.

Row 25-30: Rep row 3.

Working top of heart is done in two sections you will stop and turn work in the middle of the row.

Row 31: 14 SC, Ch 1 turn.

Row 32: 14 SC, CH 1 turn.

Row 33: SC2tog, 10 SC, SC2tog, CH 1 turn.

Row 34: 12 SC, CH 1, turn.

Row 35: 10 SC, SC2tog, Ch 1, turn.

Row 36: 11 SC, CH 1, turn.

Row 37: SC2tog, 7 SC, SC2tog, CH 1, turn.

Row 38:(SC2tog) 2 times, SC, (SC2tog) 2 times, Tie off, hide string.

Connect yarn to other side of heart to complete the other side of the motif.

Rep Rows 31-38 except on row 38 after repeating don’t tie off.

Rnd 1: SC around the entire heart, 3 SC in same space around the corners so the heart will lay flat.

 

Rep the entire thing for second heart motif.

 

Take the 2 heart motifs and line them up so you then can SC them together. Before you complete SC around the heart Stuff the heart with poly fill, then finish SC the rest of the opening shut.

 

Optional: You may want to take ribbon and add a bow to the pillow as I have done or not, Up to you.
