Perfect for those long trips in the car! This is a very basic travel pillow so spice it up with Appliqués to make the pillow fit your personality. These are great for the kids as well as adults.
Materials: Lion Brand Homespun yarn: Sea-foam, Size I Crochet hook, and poly-fill
SL =Slip Stitch
CH = Chain
SC = Single Crochet
SC3tog= Single Crochet 3 sps together
SP(S) = Space(s)
Pillow
Base: Ch 55
Row 1: (17 SC, 3 SC in next) twice, 17 SC, CH 1, turn.
Row 2: SC across, CH 1, turn.
Row 3: 18 SC, 3 SC in next sp, 20 SC, 3 SC in next sp, 18 SC, Ch 1, turn.
Row 4-20: SC across, Ch 1, turn
Row 21: 18 SC, SC3tog, 20 SC, SC3tog, 18 SC, Ch 1 turn.
Row 22: SC across, Ch 1, turn.
Row 23: 17 SC, SC 3 tog, 17 Sc, SC3 tog, 17 SC, Ch 1 turn.
Row 24: SC across, Ch 1, turn.
Row 25: Fold motif in half and SL Base row and Row 24 Together forming a tube. Tie and Hide string.
Ends:
Connect String to an opening of the tube and do the following:
Rnd 1: SC around, SL to 1st SC made, Ch 1 turn.
Rnd 2-3: *SC, SC2tog, Rep from * around, Sl to 1st SC made, Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 4: SC, SC2tog, Rep from * around, Sl to 1st SC made, tie off and leave long tail.
Weave the tail in and out of Rnd 4, Pull tail to shut opening, tie off and hide string.
Stuff Pillow with poly-fill and Rep Rnd’s 1-4 to other end of pillow.
Note: if you want a thicker/bigger pillow then just repeat Rows 4 as much as needed to fit your needs.
